Job description
About Salesforce and Agentforce
Salesforce is the leading AI-driven customer relationship management platform, where technology and human agents collaborate to drive customer success. We foster an environment where innovation is a core value, aiming to transform businesses globally through AI-powered solutions. Agentforce represents the frontier of AI applications within Salesforce, and we are seeking passionate Trailblazers to be part of this vision.
Role Overview
We are recruiting a hands-on Partner Technical Architect to collaborate with top systems integrator (SI) partners in designing and delivering scalable, production-ready Agentforce solutions. In this technical builder role, you will work closely with Partner Frontend Developers (FDEs) to clarify complex enterprise AI problems and develop practical solutions, reference architectures, and evaluation tools. You will distill lessons learned into reusable assets and elevate partner-driven outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Rapidly develop prototypes to validate concepts, identify platform limitations, and mitigate first-time implementation risks.
- Create foundational tools such as reference implementations, starter kits, demos, evaluation harnesses, and field kits that partners can adapt and deploy.
- Transform field insights into long-lasting reusable assets including code, architectural diagrams, checklists, decision trees, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate partner Agentforce architectures on aspects like agent design, data retrieval methods, tooling, guardrails, observability, cost efficiency, security, and readiness for production.
- Provide coaching and mentoring for Partner FDEs and architects via design clinics, office hours, portfolio reviews, and focused technical walkthroughs.
- Aggregate recurring implementation challenges and relay clear product and engineering feedback.
- Assist partners in aligning technical architecture decisions with delivery quality, customer outcomes, and consumption economics.
Core Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in shipping or prototyping software products involving agents, automation, internal tools, or technical demonstrations.
- Portfolio showcasing work such as GitHub repositories, demo applications, architecture documentation, evaluation setups, or open source contributions.
- Proficient in quickly learning new platforms through hands-on building rather than relying solely on documentation.
- Ability to maintain a balance of rapid development with strong production discipline around safety, reliability, observability, and maintainability.
- Skilled in abstracting patterns from custom work to create reusable assets for broader adoption.
- Hands-on experience building applied AI systems including LLMs, autonomous agents, retrieval-augmented generation, tool integration, workflow orchestration, or automation platforms.
- Capability to analyze complex agent behaviors via tracing, logging, failure mode analysis, tool invocation, data quality issues, latency, and end-user experience gaps.
- Strong practical understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval quality, evaluation processes, hallucination risks, guardrails, and cost/performance trade-offs.
- Excellent communication skills to engage engineers, architects, product teams, partners, and executives.
- Strong systems thinking encompassing APIs, data flows, identity, security, integration, observability, and operational transitions.
- Sharp product sensibility to differentiate platform gaps, configuration difficulties, partner delivery challenges, and patterns worth formalizing.
- Experience operating within regulated or complex enterprises prioritizing governance, trust, and delivery risk management.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on expertise with Salesforce platforms including Agentforce, Data Cloud, Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components, and MuleSoft or broader multi-cloud architectures.
- Salesforce certifications are advantageous but not mandatory if complemented by strong builder evidence and fast platform learning.
- Experience working closely with systems integrators, partner delivery teams, or complex enterprise implementation programs.
- Technical publications such as open source projects, internal documentation, presentations, blog posts, or reusable architecture standards.
- Development of maturity models, readiness assessments, production readiness scorecards, or technical review methodologies.
- Knowledge of consumption economics, agent cost modeling, total cost of ownership (TCO), or outcome-based delivery frameworks.
