Job description

Job Overview

The Finisher role involves preparing, painting, and finishing cabinets to ensure a high-caliber, durable, and visually consistent outcome. This position operates onsite in Tigard, Oregon with working hours from Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cabinet surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and filling any imperfections.
  • Apply primers, paints, stains, and sealers using spray equipment or manual tools.
  • Match colors, finishes, and stains to meet specific requirements or customer expectations.
  • Inspect surfaces between painting coats and carry out touch-ups as required.
  • Maintain spray booths, painting tools, and finishing equipment in good working order.
  • Adhere to correct drying, curing, and handling procedures to ensure finish quality.
  • Comply with all safety standards related to handling chemicals, paints, and equipment.
  • Ensure the workspace remains clean and organized at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess an Associate’s degree or equivalent qualification from a two-year college or technical school, or
  • Previous experience in cabinetry painting and finishing, or
  • Experience with industrial spray finishing processes.

Physical Requirements

  • The position requires standing and reaching regularly, and occasionally lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay for this role ranges between $24 and $25, reflecting regional differences across U.S. markets. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s location, experience, and relevant job factors.
