Job description
About the Role
This position entails overseeing and managing various aspects of data center operations, ensuring smooth functioning and maintaining the integrity of systems and assets at the data center facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee file transfer processes to ensure secure and accurate data movement
- Manage DHCP IP reservation to maintain proper network address allocation
- Handle DNS entry configurations and updates
- Maintain and track Data Center (DC) and Network Data Recorder (NDR) inventory
- Manage tape media assets systematically for data storage purposes
- Supervise the software library for appropriate updates and organization
- Execute creation and closure of Requests for Change (RFC)
- Generate detailed reports related to audit activities for compliance
- Maintain patching status through dashboards to keep systems updated
- Monitor Just-In-Time (JIT) and Point services for operational efficiency
- Manage reprinting tasks related to JIT/Point as required
- Control queues for requests on the Application Performance Management (APM) server
- Update and resolve Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tickets diligently
- Perform fundamental monitoring and troubleshooting on Windows and VMware platforms
Preferred Candidate Profile
Open to candidates with any graduate qualification who are interested in data center operations, capable of basic troubleshooting, and familiar with infrastructure monitoring practices.
