Cost Controller - The Singapore EDITION

Position Overview

The Cost Controller role at The Singapore EDITION is a non-management, full-time position based at 38 Cuscaden Road, Singapore. This role involves conducting physical inventories for food, beverage, and retail departments, analyzing product mix and margins, and facilitating better understanding of merchandising impact on revenue by the operations team.

Key Duties

• Conduct physical stocktakes for food, beverage, and retail items as necessary.
• Analyze product combinations, profit margins, and customer preferences to support operations in understanding revenue drivers.
• Assist in updating and managing menu prices, POS system entries, and user updates.
• Record receipt of all inventory items—including food, beverage, and non-food products—into purchasing and inventory systems.
• Investigate discrepancies related to measurement units and detect abnormal pricing variances.
• Maintain and update requisitions, master cost files, and receipts within inventory and purchasing platforms.
• Perform random inspections to guarantee products are properly stored and secured.
• Calculate preliminary cost of sales ratios as part of financial oversight.
• Comply with company policies on professional appearance, confidentiality, asset protection, and communication etiquette.
• Support teamwork by building positive working relationships and responding appropriately to coworkers' concerns.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks upon request.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (GCE O'Levels).
• At least three years of related experience in a similar role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Licenses or certifications are not mandatory.
