Role Overview
Red Hat's Consulting team is seeking a Cloud Consultant specialized in Red Hat Cloud Products for a position based in the UAE. This role focuses on designing and developing cloud-ready infrastructure and application architectures featuring automated container platforms and deployment pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert on-site to address technical, developmental, or strategic IT requirements for customers.
- Gain a thorough understanding of industry best practices and Red Hat's internal policies, procedures, and values.
- Exhibit sound judgment in selecting optimal approaches for solution implementation.
- Deploy and integrate Red Hat’s open and hybrid cloud technologies, including Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
- Work collaboratively with project teams and customers to achieve project timelines and objectives.
- Contribute to comprehensive project documentation and diagrams as well as assist in case management.
- Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing with clients and internal teams.
- Advocate for and implement automation and DevOps strategies to enhance cloud lifecycle management, impacting infrastructure and application reliability, uptime, and delivery speed.
- Utilize cloud technologies, design paradigms, integration points, and automation to implement effective solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Proven expertise with Red Hat OpenShift Platform or core components such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience in using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for automation.
- Background in deploying system infrastructure and cloud-based solutions, encompassing data storage, networking, monitoring, and security aspects.
- Strong communication skills to convey project value, progress, and key metrics clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Self-motivated learner with the ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge and apply it practically.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English communication.
- Willingness and availability to work on-site at customer locations for more than 50% of the time.
