Java Support Engineer

About the Role

Joining Bounteous x Accolite, a global digital services leader with over 5,000 professionals, this position focuses on designing, developing, and implementing robust enterprise applications using Java and associated technologies. The role enhances digital solutions across Strategy, Analytics, Cloud, Data & AI, and Experience Design domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and build large-scale applications grounded in Java, Spring Boot framework, and microservices architecture.
• Develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs and backend systems optimized for cloud environments.
• Employ advanced microservices patterns, including Circuit Breaker, API Gateway, Saga, CQRS, Strangler, and Event Sourcing to enhance system resilience and scalability.
• Develop reusable components and establish standard application development patterns to streamline team workflows.
• Design and normalize relational database schemas using SQL and RDBMS platforms like Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Enhance database performance through query optimization, indexing strategies, and fine-tuning stored procedures.
• Implement secure coding principles following OWASP Top 10 guidelines, API security best practices, token-based authentication, and encryption techniques.
• Utilize Generative AI tools such as Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT to boost development productivity.
• Adopt modern engineering practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), clean coding standards, and automated quality assurance mechanisms.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proficient in Java versions 8, 11, and 17 with hands-on experience.
• Strong command over Spring Boot and Spring Cloud frameworks as well as REST API development.
• Extensive experience designing microservices using established design patterns.
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes is advantageous.
• Knowledge of caching systems like Redis or Hazelcast is a plus.
• 6 to 12 years of practical experience developing enterprise-grade applications.
• Proven ability to work effectively within Agile and Scrum team environments.

Work Schedule
