About the Role
The Young Professional Compliance Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the Compliance department to ensure the organization consistently meets regulatory standards, internal guidelines, and industry best practices. This opportunity is geared towards recent graduates and professionals early in their careers who seek practical experience in compliance, regulatory frameworks, risk mitigation, and financial service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in tracking compliance adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Help maintain and review compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Conduct initial compliance assessments and reviews of client onboarding paperwork.
- Support client verification processes such as Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures.
- Keep compliance records, registers, and related documentation accurate and well-organized.
- Contribute to regulatory reporting and periodic compliance submissions.
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate pertinent updates to the Compliance team.
- Assist with investigating compliance incidents and documenting outcomes.
- Participate in internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to provide management with compliance insights.
- Support compliance awareness programs and training sessions for employees.
- Work collaboratively across departments to foster a strong culture of compliance and ethical behavior.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Recent graduates or professionals with up to two years of relevant experience.
- A keen interest in compliance, governance, risk management, and regulatory landscapes.
- Understanding of AML, KYC, and financial services regulations is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with effective problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English communication.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications, notably Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated integrity and capability to manage confidential information responsibly.
