Role Overview
Our Wacol Branch is seeking a motivated and energetic Yardperson to join our team. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, orderly, and efficient yard environment while actively supporting daily branch activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage yard operations, ensuring safe movement of machinery and equipment within the branch.
- Receive, inspect, and organize storage for new plant equipment and attachments in the yard area.
- Assist in preparing and presenting machinery for customer deliveries, transport, and servicing.
- Perform loading and unloading of equipment, attachments, and components as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and branch grounds.
- Support workshop and branch tasks with general duties as needed.
- Adhere strictly to Hitachi's safety policies and procedures at all times.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a valid Forklift Licence.
- Have proven experience in similar roles involving yard management, warehouse, logistics, or operational support.
- Experience or exposure to industries such as construction, mining, agriculture, transport, or earthmoving is advantageous.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and wellbeing of team members.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a busy setting.
- A proactive approach focused on delivering outstanding customer service internally and externally.
- Hold a current driver's licence.
