Overview
WALCO Middle East is seeking a seasoned Workshop Operations Manager (Senior Engineer) to oversee and lead all activities within the Mechanical Workshop, concentrating on valve repair, maintenance, testing, preventive maintenance system (PMS), and Call-Off Contract endeavors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct daily operations of the Mechanical Workshop and Valve Section.
- Supervise valve repair, maintenance, inspection, testing, and servicing processes.
- Achieve operational efficiency, maintain high productivity, and ensure quality standards to meet business targets.
- Ensure adherence to technical, QA/QC, HSE, and industry regulations.
- Prepare, review, and authorize technical documents, procedures, reports, and records associated with workshop activities.
- Keep detailed QA/QC records for all testing, repair, maintenance, and service tasks performed within the workshop.
- Manage workshop assets including equipment, tools, personnel, and resources efficiently.
- Liaise with clients, project teams, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate and manage PMS and Call-Off Contract deliverables.
- Support initiatives for business expansion, customer growth, certification processes, and accreditations.
- Develop the Valve Section team through targeted recruitment, defining job descriptions, setting KPIs, facilitating training, and managing performance.
- Ensure all workshop activities comply with safety protocols and company policies.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
- Extensive practical experience in Mechanical Workshop operations and Valve Section activities.
- Proficient in valve repair, testing, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting.
- Experience within Oil & Gas, industrial maintenance, or valve servicing sectors is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in managing workshop operations and leading teams effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of QA/QC procedures, technical documentation, HSE standards, and related industry requirements.
- Strong leadership capabilities combined with effective planning, problem-solving, and client coordination skills.
- Applicants must be presently residing in Qatar.
