About the Role
Join RoadTek Central Queensland as a Workplace Trainer, where you'll play an integral part in empowering employees by enhancing their skills, knowledge, and confidence. This opportunity allows you to contribute significantly to workforce development across Queensland's transport infrastructure projects, working with a multi-disciplinary and accredited organisation committed to respect, safety, diversity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Registered Training Organisations to identify, manage and deliver training ensuring compliance with workforce capability goals and legislative requirements.
- Support the implementation and execution of the Work Centre's learning and development program, manage training budgets, and report progress based on key performance indicators.
- Maintain and update an employee training schedule to provide Resource and Project Managers with timely updates about training requirements and absences for training purposes.
- Foster strong communication with Operations, Resource, Project Managers, and Supervisors to keep them informed about training initiatives and needs.
- Coordinate and potentially deliver both accredited and non-accredited civil construction training programs focused on skill development and compliance.
- Oversee the training and assessment records, licensing, and certification for operators, ensuring all are current and accurately logged in the Training Management System.
- Manage the Civil Tradesperson Development Program (CTDP) implementation, supporting the Resource Manager and ensuring alignment with the Construction Worker Development Committee’s directives.
- Provide monthly performance reports and support management in meetings related to training and development activities.
Required and Desirable Qualifications
- Preferred: Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
- Certificate III in Civil Construction specializing in Plant Operations.
- Certificate III in Civil Construction focusing on Road Construction and Maintenance.
- Certificate IV in Project Management is advantageous.

Minimum education
Diploma / ITI / Vocational
