Role Overview

We are seeking a Workday HCM Senior Consultant who will be actively engaged in system design and implementation, developing client requirements and collaborating with stakeholders to build cutting-edge HCM solutions tailored to client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure custom HCM solutions aligned with client requirements.
• Maintain ownership of the design documentation such as spreadsheets and workbooks.
• Work collaboratively with Practice, Functional Areas, and Lead Consultants to ensure holistic end-to-end solutions considering downstream implications.
• Participate in Functional, Integrations, and Data cross-team meetings.
• Document issues, decisions, and action items from initiation and architecture sessions.
• Conduct unit testing during configuration development and perform smoke tests before client handoff.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for client queries and issues throughout various testing phases and deployment stages, including Unit Testing, End-to-End Testing, UAT, Parallel Testing, Deployment, and Post Go Live.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience implementing ERP systems with a strong focus on financial solutions.
• Deep expertise in Human Capital Management with a proven track record in system implementations.
• Prior consulting experience within consulting firms or internal consulting roles.
• Proficient in gathering and translating business requirements into effective system solutions.
• Excellent communication skills capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and conducting workshops and presentations confidently.
• Experience managing challenging discussions with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong consultative abilities to guide clients toward timely agreement on solutions.
• Adaptable and self-motivated in dynamic, change-driven environments.
• Forward-thinking approach to anticipate organizational needs and develop ideal solutions.
• Collaborative spirit and innovative mindset to design processes and tools that support cloud platform transformations.
• Strong problem-solving skills including troubleshooting and escalation when necessary.
• Hands-on experience with Workday, SAP, Oracle, ADP, or similar HCM platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Workday HCM certification is preferred; candidates without certification must pass required certifications and maintain ongoing recertification.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Educational Background

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Science, or a related field.
