About the Role
Gateworth Group, in partnership with a global diversified operator, is seeking a knowledgeable Workday Consultant to lead configuration, integrations, and platform enhancement across multiple countries. This opportunity is tailored for a professional who has actively implemented and managed Workday HCM solutions end-to-end rather than someone who simply oversees vendors or functional requests.
As the primary technical expert, you will handle Workday modules, integrations, security, reporting, and release management. The role calls for practical engineering of Workday solutions including design, development, testing, and enhancement to support organizational growth and operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Manage configuration in core Workday HCM areas to ensure dependable workflows, security protocols, and processes at scale.
- Create and sustain integrations through EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, APIs, and other Workday tools.
- Support payroll interfaces and country-specific implementations ensuring precision, regulatory compliance, and secure data handling.
- Develop custom objects, orchestrations, and system extensions aligned with evolving business needs.
- Lead testing phases including unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing with thorough documentation and resolution of issues.
- Enhance business processes by optimizing approval chains, notifications, and calculated fields.
- Develop dashboards, analytical tools, and reports leveraging Workday reporting capabilities.
- Oversee governance across different environments, managing release cycles, regression testing, and change control processes.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT departments, and external partners to deliver scalable Workday solutions.
- Provide user training, documentation, and consultative support to boost adoption and functional proficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years in hands-on Workday configuration and integration roles.
- Experience in at least one full Workday implementation from design through rollout.
- Expertise in HCM modules, business processes, security frameworks, reporting, and tenant administration.
- Proven skills creating and maintaining integrations using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, PECI/PICOF, and APIs.
- Competence in requirement gathering, workshop facilitation, and translating business requirements into scalable system designs.
- Experience working in international or multi-country settings is highly preferred.
- Educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related fields.
- In-depth understanding of Workday HCM customization, workflow structuring, and configuration.
- Strong integration engineering skills covering Workday Extend, Studio, web services, and authentication methods.
- Advanced reporting expertise including calculated fields, dashboards, and complex analytics.
- Comfortable with environment management, release administration, change control, and compliance standards.
- Capability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors within a matrix organization.
