Job description
Overview
We are looking for a competent and dynamic Windows Administrator specializing in Desktop Support and Troubleshooting to become a vital part of our IT department. This role demands at least two years of practical exposure to managing Windows operating systems, supporting end users, and handling hardware and software issues alongside Active Directory and IT infrastructure maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, set up, and manage Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.
- Administer user accounts, groups, and permissions using Active Directory.
- Carry out routine updates, patching, and verify security compliance.
- Monitor system health and resolve any OS-related malfunctions.
- Oversee domain-joined PCs and troubleshoot group policies effectively.
- Deliver Level 1 and 2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve concerns involving hardware, software, networks, VPNs, and related applications.
- Manage incident tickets and ensure resolutions within agreed SLAs.
- Install, configure, and support business-critical applications and productivity software.
- Manage user onboarding/offboarding and prepare workstations accordingly.
- Investigate and rectify Windows OS errors and performance bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 suite including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and other related apps.
- Conduct root cause analysis for repeat technical problems and escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Maintain detailed documentation of IT assets, software licenses, troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and knowledge base entries.
- Ensure adherence to organizational IT policies and security protocols.
Skills and Qualifications
- Solid expertise with Windows 10 and 11 system administration.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server fundamentals.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 management and user support.
- Experience or knowledge of desktop virtualization and optimization methodologies is preferred.
- Bachelor of Engineering degree required.
