Welder - Industrial Maintenance

Position Overview

Yamama Cement is seeking a skilled Welder to join their Maintenance Department located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves performing welding tasks and equipment repairs essential to smooth operations within an industrial maintenance setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out welding and repair duties on various machinery, equipment, and spare components.
• Interpret basic engineering drawings and take exact measurements prior to welding operations.
• Choose appropriate welding techniques and materials suited to specific tasks.
• Conduct thorough inspections on finished welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and preventive maintenance procedures at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of an Industrial High School Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• At least four years of hands-on experience in welding, particularly within industrial contexts.
• Proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and familiarity with general industrial welding practices.
• Capability to accurately read and comprehend engineering drawings.
• Previous work experience in manufacturing plants, cement production facilities, or heavy industry environments is advantageous.
