Weighbridge Operator

Role Overview

We are seeking a trustworthy and detail-focused Weighbridge Operator to oversee the accurate weighing process for trucks entering and leaving our facility. The role encompasses maintaining precise records and facilitating the efficient flow of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge system to weigh all inbound and outbound vehicles.
• Document truck weights along with vehicle specifics, types of materials, supplier or customer details, and quantities with accuracy.
• Issue and validate weighbridge tickets and delivery paperwork.
• Liaise with Warehouse, Logistics, Production, and Security departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Cross-check delivery and dispatch documents against weighbridge data.
• Identify and report any inconsistencies in vehicle weights or accompanying documents.
• Maintain daily records of weighing activities and compile reports as necessary.
• Ensure the weighbridge equipment and systems are operating correctly and communicate any malfunctions promptly.
• Adhere strictly to the company's safety, security, and operational protocols.
• Organize and preserve comprehensive documentation of all transactions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of high school or equivalent qualification.
• Between 1 to 3 years of experience working as a Weighbridge Operator, ideally within sectors like feed mills, manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, or other industrial environments.
• Fundamental computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Strong numerical aptitude and meticulous record-keeping abilities.
• Capability to work in shifts and manage substantial truck traffic volumes.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities with various teams.
