We are currently seeking a Weichenwärter:in (Signal Operator) for the S-Bahn Berlin GmbH, located at Berlin-Schöneweide & Grünau, to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and timely execution of shunting operations at the mechanical signal control station within the Berlin marshalling yard.
• Set the full route for train movements, including switches, track path, and signals, to secure safe departures.
• Maintain communication with peers at neighboring signal stations, train drivers, and control centers.
• Issue, receive, and transmit train service messages and timetable notifications.
• Monitor and inspect tracks, managing track closures during disruptions.

Candidate Profile

• Must possess expertise and hands-on experience in mechanical signal system technology or be willing to acquire this knowledge.
• Demonstrate high responsibility, dependability, expert decision-making under pressure, and punctuality.
• Required to hold operational clearance for the role of Weichenwärter:in.
• Willingness to work shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
