Weekend Manager

Overview

The Weekend Manager will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the store during the weekends. The role involves delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring the availability of fresh food in a clean and safe environment. This position focuses on achieving sales and profitability targets through excellent management of staff and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Centra's brand values including being proud, energetic, imaginative, and community-focused.
• Lead by example, maintain approachability, and foster teamwork and positivity among staff.
• Coordinate with weekday management to execute any store layout changes correctly.
• Maintain high standards in product rotation, merchandising, and shelf presentation.
• Support induction, training, and growth of team members.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally, adhering to store policies.
• Adopt and support new initiatives and operational methods.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in customer-facing roles.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience with cash handling and till balancing.
• Strong motivation and work ethic.
• Ability to understand and meet key performance indicators and targets.
• Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the brand.
• Passion for grocery retail sector.
• Capable of working in a dynamic team environment, multitasking effectively under pressure.
• Organizational skills including delegation and team support.

Additional Information

This full-time role includes weekend supervisory hours, with schedules tailored to the selected candidate. The role is not suitable for students. Applicants of all ages, including those returning to work or older applicants, are encouraged to apply. Compensation will correspond to experience.
