Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and coach Relationship Managers, including Sales Managers, to enhance portfolio management skills, client engagement quality, and overall professionalism aligned with the International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) framework.
  • Develop Relationship Managers' capabilities in financial planning and wealth products to foster advisory excellence, need-based selling, and suitability-focused recommendations.
  • Collaborate strategically with RM leadership to define team routines, set standards, and establish performance targets to ensure uniform client management practices.
  • Conduct structured training sessions, observation, and constructive feedback such as call and meeting coaching, pipeline assessment, and role-playing activities to boost sales efficiency, wallet share, and wealth penetration.
  • Monitor and document progress using agreed key performance indicators (KPIs), including client activity, conversion rates, product mix, penetration, and portfolio status. Identify areas for improvement and apply focused enhancement plans.
  • Maintain compliance with HSBC Business Principles, operational risk policies, and local and global regulations, ensuring ethical conduct and operational integrity in all coaching and business endeavors.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Extensive experience in financial services and relationship management, preferably with a focus on high-net-worth (HNW) portfolios.
  • Advanced expertise in financial planning and wealth products, demonstrating a strong history of delivering effective client advice and achieving sales results.
  • Proven success in coaching and building high-performing wealth teams; prior leadership or team management experience is advantageous.
  • Strong grasp of macroeconomic and microeconomic principles as well as local market trends.
  • In-depth knowledge of wealth management regulatory frameworks with valid local licenses or accreditations, partnering effectively with compliance, credit, risk, and internal control functions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HSBC’s Global House Views.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are preferred.
  • A university degree is mandatory for UAE work visa eligibility. Foreign educational qualifications must be accompanied by up-to-date attestations and equivalency as required by UAE regulations.
