About the Role

Clean drinking water is essential for the community, and ensuring the water supply runs smoothly is a vital responsibility. Our team in Selwyn, specifically in Rolleston, manages the water reticulation network, ensuring that every tap provides safe and reliable water. We are seeking a Water Reticulation Operator to join our skilled water services crew.

As part of this role, you will be engaged in repairing and maintaining the water supply infrastructure, conducting regular scheduled maintenance checks, and ensuring the water quality complies with community standards.

We also offer a "Learn & Earn" opportunity for the ideal candidate, including comprehensive training and the possibility to gain industry-recognized certifications such as the National Certificate in Water Reticulation Level 4.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Class 1 Driver Licence is mandatory.
• Previous trade experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Good physical fitness paired with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
• A safety-first approach along with a positive attitude.
• Willingness and availability for on-call duties that include weekends, public holidays, and after-hours work.
