Human Resources Business Partner

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Human Resources professional to become an integral member of our compact team of three. This position, located at our Rolleston office and reporting directly to the Head of People and Culture, offers a significant role where your impact is broad across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to define roles clearly, develop career paths, and design growth plans to equip CORDE's teams to meet current and future challenges.
• Handle intricate employment relations issues comprehensively, including conducting investigations, managing performance, overseeing disciplinary procedures, and resolving grievances.
• Assist in organizational transformation and manage workforce planning.
• Coach managers to enhance their confidence and effectiveness in people leadership.
• Leverage workforce analytics and trends to support business decision-making.
• Champion continuous enhancement of people-related processes, policies, and systems.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced Senior HR Advisor or someone eager or newly transitioned into the Human Resource Business Partner role.
• Holder of a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field, or possesses equivalent practical experience.
• Background in sectors such as construction, infrastructure, utilities, or other operational industries is highly valued.
• Comprehensive understanding of New Zealand employment legislation and employment relations best practices.
• Track record of independently managing complex employment relations cases.
• Ability to confidently challenge and influence leaders at all organizational levels.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms, preferably ELMO, and comfort handling people data.
• Reputation for credibility, sound judgment, and a straightforward approach toward employees of diverse roles.
• Comfortable working both on site and in boardroom settings, with strong communication and administrative skills.
