Waste Collection Manager

Role Overview

The Waste Collection Manager position involves directing the operations of solid waste collection throughout Ras Al Khaimah, ensuring services are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations to promote a cleaner and sustainable environment.

Core Duties

• Manage the secure and effective collection, transportation, and disposal of various solid wastes, including household, industrial, infectious, medical, and hazardous materials.
• Oversee field teams focusing on proper equipment usage, maintenance, and strict adherence to waste disposal laws.
• Design, coordinate, and improve collection schedules and routing for optimal service delivery.
• Lead and organize supervisory personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards throughout all operations.
• Guarantee that fleet vehicles and equipment are maintained and ready for operation.
• Collaborate with the Fleet/Workshop department for strategic fleet development.
• Initiate and manage public education and community outreach efforts related to waste management practices.
• Develop, revise, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Track and report materials diverted to the Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
• Address and resolve community inquiries and complaints pertaining to waste services.

Qualifications & Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related disciplines such as Logistics is required, with preference given to Engineering, Business, or Logistics backgrounds.
• A minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience in similar roles.
