About the Role
The Warranty Administrator will manage and process warranty claims related to vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer policies while mitigating financial risks for the company. This role involves close coordination with service departments and manufacturers to maintain accurate records and streamline warranty claim workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit warranty claims with all necessary documentation and justifications.
- Serve as the main contact between the company and equipment manufacturers on warranty coverage, approvals, and dispute resolution.
- Keep comprehensive records of warranty claims, repairs, replaced parts, and corresponding manufacturer communications for auditing and reporting.
- Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, and workshop foremen to gather repair details, labor efforts, and photographic evidence to support claims.
- Ensure full compliance with warranty policies and assist in audits conducted by Original Equipment Manufacturers.
- Assist customers by providing updates on warranty coverage and coordinating service schedules to reduce downtime.
- Monitor claim approval trends and rejection rates; prepare reports offering insights and suggestions to management.
- Verify parts and labor charges adhere to warranty guidelines for accurate submissions.
Qualifications and Experience
- High School diploma or Diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 1 to 2 years experience in automotive warranty administration.
Technical Expertise
- Good understanding of warranty procedures and manufacturer policies.
- Knowledge of automotive components and systems.
- Experience with dealership or service center management software such as SAP, Oracle, or Dealer Management Software.
- Strong skills in data entry and documentation management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
