About the Role
Babcock International Group is seeking a Warehouse Stores Person to join their Victoria, British Columbia team on a permanent basis. This role supports the daily activities at the Devonshire Warehouse associated with the Victoria In Service Support Contract (VISSC), helping to maintain national security by ensuring reliable access to critical defence resources.
The position offers a salary ranging from $50,721 to $76,081 annually, with the final offer depending on skills, experience, and internal equity. Benefits include a comprehensive total compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Devonshire Warehouse to support defence service contracts.
- Prepare kits accurately and thoroughly for production teams.
- Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement projects to enhance warehouse effectiveness.
- Maintain a strong safety culture and promote health and safety across warehouse activities.
- Collaborate with the WestCoast Warehouse Manager to ensure adherence to company standards for material kitting procedures.
- Manage assigned functions such as kitting, stocktaking, inventory inspections, and related warehouse tasks.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support overall business operations.
Candidate Profile
- At least two years of experience in warehouse or inventory management operations.
- Familiarity with material handling procedures and manual equipment operation.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and contractors.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; knowledge of Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) is a plus.
- Forklift operation experience including sit-down and narrow aisle models.
- Possession of a valid British Columbia Class 5 driver’s license.
- Physical ability to safely lift weights up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; further education such as college or university diploma is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and shifts Monday through Friday.
- Eligible for Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearances.
