Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a competent Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee and manage daily activities within the warehouse facility. The role involves handling various operational tasks including receipt, storage, order fulfillment, dispatch, and returns, ensuring efficient and accurate warehouse functioning.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise all daily warehouse operations such as goods inward processing, Goods Receipt Note (GRN) management, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and return handling.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and assist in periodic stock audits.
- Track and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), monitor productivity, and manage performance of on-site manpower.
- Coordinate with vendors responsible for transportation, packaging, security, housekeeping, and maintenance within the warehouse.
- Ensure all warehouse transactions are properly documented and updated in the system.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and spearhead process improvements to optimize space utilization, reduce costs, and save time.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and audit standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams including client account managers, technical teams, and procurement departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Generate and share daily and weekly operational Management Information System (MIS) reports along with performance insights to the reporting manager.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline is required; degrees or certifications in Supply Chain or Logistics are advantageous.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in warehouse or third-party logistics (3PL) operations.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory control methodologies, and dispatch planning.
- Experience in managing warehouse personnel and vendor coordination.
- Ability to manage shift-based operations onsite as needed.
Compensation
The position offers a monthly salary ranging between INR 35,000 and INR 40,000.
