About the Role
At our European Earthmoving Service Station, located in Verden, Germany, the Warehouse Specialist serves as the key operator responsible for the entire physical movement of aftermarket spare parts. This role demands overseeing inbound unpacking, put-away, efficient picking, packing, and outbound dispatch, while adhering strictly to productivity standards and European labor rules. The specialist supports emergency VIP shipments to minimize machinery downtime for key customers.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage inbound shipments: verify, scan via warehouse system, and store parts accurately.
- Pick and pack parts efficiently, achieving at least 60 lines/hour for small items or 15 lines/hour for large components.
- Ensure secure packing and safe loading for outgoing shipments, attaching proper documentation.
- Prioritize and expedite emergency machine-down orders to meet critical service agreements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through daily or weekly cycle counts and participate in annual audits.
- Report discrepancies such as damaged or missing stock to management promptly.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with European EHS standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Completed high school or vocational training equivalent.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years in fast-paced warehouse environments, ideally in parts distribution within automotive, construction machinery, or logistics sectors.
- Skills: Valid forklift license (counterbalance or reach truck), familiarity with handheld RF scanners and WMS, ability to handle physical demands including lifting and prolonged standing.
- Language: Fluency in the local language (German) is essential; basic English comprehension is advantageous.
- Attributes: Punctual, dependable, safety-conscious, and collaborative team member with strong organizational skills to meet productivity goals.
