Job description

About the Role

Join Ferrero's Halstead facility, home to Eat Natural, as a Warehouse Operator and contribute significantly to the efficient handling of goods within our warehouse. Your role encompasses overseeing movement from raw material intake through to dispatching finished products, ensuring all stock is precisely controlled, production demands are met, and strict safety and quality standards are upheld.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a rotating shift schedule alternating between mornings (6am–2pm) and afternoons (11am–7pm). Adaptability is essential to accommodate varying production and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage entire warehouse workflows including receiving, storing, transferring, and dispatching goods to align with production and customer needs.
  • Operate various warehouse machinery such as forklifts and reach trucks in compliance with training, health and safety guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
  • Handle goods-in and goods-out procedures including delivery verification, product quality inspection, shipment preparation, and prompt dispatching.
  • Maintain precise inventory records and comprehensive warehouse documentation using systems like SAP.
  • Promote and adhere to safe working practices, reporting hazards, incidents, or operational concerns promptly as per site protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with production teams, transport providers, suppliers, and warehouse colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to warehouse processes to boost efficiency and operational excellence.

Candidate Profile

We seek individuals who are organised, reliable, and dedicated to upholding rigorous safety standards in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment. Comfort with inventory management, procedural compliance, and documentation accuracy is important. Strong teamwork and communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude are key.

Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is preferred. Familiarity with forklift and reach truck operation, SAP, or other warehouse management systems is advantageous, though training will be provided.
