About the Role

An exciting retail start-up is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the establishment of their warehouse operations ahead of launch. This role offers a unique opportunity to build warehouse systems and processes from scratch and influence the business's foundation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the new warehouse to support retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Create warehouse processes, inventory controls, and optimized storage layouts to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for receiving, replenishment, order fulfilment, and stock management.
  • Recruit, onboard, and organize a warehouse team to operate seven days a week.
  • Establish relationships with freight, courier, and supplier partners to prepare the warehouse for launch.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in setting up warehouses, distribution centres, or greenfield operations from the beginning.
  • Strong expertise in warehouse systems, inventory control, and operational workflows.
  • Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP integration within a retail context.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or omnichannel fulfilment environments.
  • A practical, hands-on approach capable of balancing strategic planning with daily operations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a background in building and leading warehouse teams.
