Job description
About The Role
This role offers a unique chance to join a rapidly expanding digital enterprise in Auckland, taking a direct hands-on position as a Performance Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for managing performance across three integrated areas: delivering client marketing projects, orchestrating B2B Account-Based Marketing (ABM), and steering B2C inbound customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute campaigns, identify target audiences, set up tracking mechanisms, monitor spend pacing, ensure quality assurance of campaign execution, and rapidly optimize for improved results.
- Manage operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where maintaining quality performance at scale is crucial.
- Collaborate closely with technology and go-to-market teams to design and enhance performance infrastructure, including automation, QA processes, alerting systems, and workflow development.
- Lead initiatives across major platforms such as Google (including Search), Meta, and Pinterest, while exploring and testing emerging paid media platforms and vendor options.
- Shape internal communication on campaign performance by delivering clear, commercially focused reports that highlight effective strategies and outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Possess current, hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns personally on a weekly or daily basis rather than delegating execution.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in Meta and Google advertising platforms, especially Search, with a solid grasp of tracking fundamentals like pixels, conversion measurement, and quality assurance.
- Have technical knowledge of server-side tracking techniques, Conversions API, and first-party data signaling, enabling effective collaboration with engineering and analytics teams.
- Bring B2B paid media experience, preferably with end-to-end ABM skills including account list creation, data enrichment, intent signal identification, and coordinating activations with outbound efforts.
- Exhibit a systems-oriented approach combined with proactive communication—identifying obstacles early, managing dependencies, and providing timely updates without prompting.
- Be comfortable working in a dynamic, high-accountability setting where balancing daily live delivery alongside continuous system improvements is essential.
Benefits and Opportunities
- Take full ownership across multiple areas—B2B, B2C, and client performance—rather than focusing on a single channel.
- Influence and help build performance operations by partnering with technical teams on automation and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Gain exposure to international growth initiatives, including expansion into the US market, and advanced ABM and demand generation strategies.
- Work in a role that prioritizes detailed technical excellence and craftsmanship over solely strategic presentation.
- Enjoy significant autonomy and a rapid learning environment, surrounded by meaningful challenges and empowered to implement solutions.
