Role Overview
The Warehouse Helper position at IMC is a full-time role based on-site in Kozhikode. The incumbent will assist in daily warehouse activities, which include handling incoming shipments, unloading deliveries, organizing stock within specified storage zones, and preparing orders for dispatch. Responsibilities also encompass labeling, securely packaging, and timely shipment of products. The role may require operating fundamental material handling equipment and adhering to safety and cleanliness protocols. Effective coordination with supervisors and colleagues to ensure a seamless workflow is essential. Candidates must demonstrate diligence, physical endurance, and a cooperative attitude to support warehouse and supply chain functions.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in shipping and receiving operations to accurately manage product inflow and outflow.
- Competency in packing skills for preparing, labeling, and securely packing products for storage and shipment.
- Experience in unloading goods from vehicles and arranging them properly inside the warehouse.
- Ability to operate forklift trucks and pallet jacks safely to move and stack inventory.
- Basic inventory management knowledge and strict adherence to safety guidelines.
- Capability to perform physical duties like lifting and prolonged standing.
- Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and managing time efficiently.
- Dependability and punctuality are important traits.
- Previous experience in warehouse or logistics environments is advantageous.
- Minimum educational qualification: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
