Job Overview
The role of Warehouse Handler II involves supporting efficient warehouse functions including receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of materials. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is located onsite at the Kancheepuram facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload, receive, inspect, and properly store materials following established procedures.
- Process picking, packing, and issuing of materials in line with production and shipping needs.
- Maintain precise inventory records through stock tracking, cycle counting, and physical inventory checks.
- Apply appropriate labeling, identification, First In First Out (FIFO), Just in Time (JIT) methods, and segregate materials correctly.
- Adhere to safety protocols including EHS guidelines, use of PPE, and 5S standards; promptly report any safety hazards.
Candidate Profile
- Educational background: ITI or Diploma credentials or equivalent relevant warehouse experience.
- Professional experience: 5 to 8 years in warehouse operations or as stores assistant.
- Technical skills: Basic familiarity with ERP/WMS systems and proficiency in Excel.
Desired Additional Qualifications
- Experience in sectors such as sheet metal, automotive, engineering, FMCG, or logistics preferred.
- Knowledge or involvement with Lean, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Practical experience operating material handling equipment is advantageous.
