Role Overview
The Warehouse Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining fluid warehouse operations by managing material flow and ensuring a well-organized workspace at a Carnival Corporation operated global destination. Key duties include receiving goods, preparing shipments, supporting inventory movement, and assisting with order fulfillment while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly review inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and prevent shortages or surplus.
- Conduct stocktaking activities and periodic cycle counts for accurate inventory management.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase documents for quantity and quality accuracy.
- Generate and update inventory reports aiding management and operational decisions.
- Help unload, sort, and process deliveries efficiently and systematically.
- Organize and stock shelves safely and logically for convenient retrieval.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness to support effective workflows.
- Assist with procurement activities by identifying supply needs and collaborating with vendors and staff to ensure timely acquisition.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and company policies during all warehouse operations.
- Perform other managerial assigned tasks contributing to company objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Capability to prepare reports and handle documentation effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Physical fitness to handle lifting at least 10 pounds and to endure standing for extended durations.
- Ability to work under outdoor conditions when necessary.
- Flexibility to work in shifts at various locations.
Education and Language
- Minimum requirement of a High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Additional qualifications in Hospitality or related fields considered an advantage.
- Fluent English language skills required.
