Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests, assist with seating arrangements, accurately record orders, and deliver attentive service that meets the hotel’s standards.
- Actively suggest hotel amenities, dining options, and nearby attractions to enhance the guest experience.
- Serve food, beverages, coffee, wine, and other drinks adhering strictly to established service protocols.
- Proactively handle guest requests and complaints, ensuring prompt responses and satisfaction.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, beverages including wines, glassware, promotions, and outlet hours of operation.
- Follow correct service sequences, telephone etiquette, responsible alcohol service, and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure assigned areas, equipment, and service stations remain clean and sanitary, adhering to safety and allergy awareness guidelines.
- Prepare service areas by setting tables with appropriate linen, glassware, cutlery, and equipment, while replenishing supplies to guarantee readiness.
- Support operational efficiency by monitoring stock levels, replenishing buffet offerings, completing side tasks, restocking supplies, and handling reusable items properly post-service.
- Exhibit professionalism and collaboration by communicating respectfully with guests and colleagues, maintaining an upbeat "Yes I Can" attitude, upholding ethical standards, and assisting in maintenance or minibar duties when required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least two years of experience as a waiter or server in a 4-star or 5-star hotel setting.
- Background in any of the following areas: Japanese cuisine (including sushi and sashimi with authentic service), bar operations and beverage service (cocktails, spirits, wines), or fine dining restaurant service.
- Deep understanding of food and beverage service standards and menu details.
- Excellent communication abilities and dedication to customer service excellence.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Professional appearance with a well-groomed and friendly demeanor.
- Keen attention to detail and precise order handling and service.
- Capability to perform effectively under pressure in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and teamwork skills.
- Positive, energetic, and guest-oriented mindset aligned with the "Yes, I Can" philosophy.
- Age requirement: between 20 and 30 years old.
