Waiter/Waitress - Pool and Beach

Role Overview

Imagine the opportunity to brighten a guest's day and leave a positive impression every time you work. As a Waiter/Waitress at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, part of the Hilton group, you will provide exceptional food and beverage service that contributes to memorable experiences for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the captain or head waiter continuously during service hours.
• Promote in-house sales actively by being well-informed about all hotel services as well as operating hours and promotions of all food and beverage outlets.
• Review daily suggestions before starting your shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of trolleys and pedestal tables.
• Ensure proper polishing and mise en place of all cutlery.
• Replenish essentials such as sugar dispensers, mustard pots, toothpicks, and oil & vinegar containers.
• Supply the restaurant with necessary linens.
• Adhere strictly to daily cleaning schedules.
• Comply with restaurant closing procedures.
• Deliver high-quality food and beverage service to guests to maintain satisfaction.
• Understand and apply food and beverage policies and other related procedures.
• Recognize and maintain product quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor and enhance service standards in line with company expectations.
• Assist other staff members during busy periods.
• Manage waste by promoting reduction, recycling, and resource-conscious behavior among staff.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as requested within the scope of the role.

Additional Duties

• Participate in mandatory meetings.
• Carry out general cleaning to meet health and safety regulations.
• Keep your work area tidy and well-organized.
• Perform extra assignments from supervisors, including helping security with unruly guests as needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in food and beverage preparation, including alcoholic beverage service.
• Basic math skills to handle cash register operations, cash handling (making change, counting totals), and understanding portion sizes.
• Proficient written English skills for completing requisitions, balance sheets, and vouchers.
• Ability to recall, explain, and promote various menu items confidently.
• Familiarity with keyboard use and POS systems for pre-checks, order processing, and finalizing bills.
• Physical capability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended durations.
