About the Role

The Third Monkey is seeking a personable and attentive waiter to join our two-AA-Rosette restaurant located in the heart of Farnham. We combine seasonal British cuisine, carefully selected wines and cocktails, and a warm atmosphere across our gastropub, restaurant, and terrace. Our service style is polished yet relaxed: knowledgeable, thoughtful, and sincerely welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them through the food and drink menus.
• Develop a strong understanding of seasonal dishes, ingredients, and preparation techniques.
• Provide thoughtful recommendations tailored to guests’ tastes and preferences.
• Take accurate orders and communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth, timely service.
• Adhere strictly to allergen procedures, consulting with appropriate staff when necessary.
• Serve food and beverages attentively, maintain table presentation, and anticipate guest needs throughout their visit.
• Process bills and payments accurately, respond professionally to any feedback, and engage managers when required.
• Assist with restaurant preparation, including opening and closing duties, and support colleagues during high-demand periods.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in table service, preferably within a quality restaurant or gastropub environment.
• Friendly demeanor with confidence in establishing genuine rapport with guests.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills under pressure.
• A passionate interest in food, wine, and hospitality, combined with eagerness to continually learn and improve.
• Dependable, prides oneself on personal presentation, and works collaboratively in a team setting.
• Experience in a Rosette-awarded restaurant is beneficial but not mandatory; attitude and consistent service quality are equally important.
