About the Role
This full-time position invites a technical professional to join as a Vulnerability Researcher, working remotely from any location. The role emphasizes in-depth technical examination to uncover software weaknesses across various systems and applications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive static and dynamic software analyses to identify vulnerabilities in both codebases and infrastructure.
- Create proof-of-concept exploits to demonstrate vulnerabilities and evaluate their potential impact.
- Engage with engineering teams to assess and prioritize security issues for effective remediation.
- Investigate new threat landscapes, attack methodologies, and zero-day exploits affecting relevant technologies.
- Prepare detailed documentation including technical insights, risk evaluations, and advice on mitigation strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Python, or Go tailored toward vulnerability analysis and exploit development.
- Experience utilizing reverse engineering platforms like IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja.
- Comprehensive knowledge of vulnerability classes including buffer overflows, race conditions, and injection vulnerabilities.
- Understanding of network protocols, operating system internals, and memory corruption analysis.
- Practical experience with fuzzing utilities such as AFL, LibFuzzer, or Honggfuzz.
- Familiarity with secure coding standards and secure software development lifecycle processes.
- Capability to generate clear, technical reports that accommodate audiences with varied technical backgrounds.
