About the Role

Join the Banking and Financial Services Security and Fraud Prevention team dedicated to safeguarding Macquarie’s retail banking and financial services division. The primary goal is to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s information systems worldwide.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Vulnerability Management Specialist to become part of our Cyber Security Team. This position serves as the link between raw vulnerability data and informed business risk decisions. You will be responsible for researching, prioritizing, and quantifying vulnerabilities across varied technology assets, including container images and language-specific application dependencies. Your expertise will guide the organization in assessing actual exploit risks considering our enterprise defenses and existing controls.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in vulnerability management, application security, or product security involving hands-on CVE triage across multiple technology ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of application dependency management in languages such as Java, npm, Go, and Python, including knowledge of vulnerability propagation through transitive dependencies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of software frameworks, Kubernetes, containerization concepts like image layering, registries, and runtime security.
  • Practical experience integrating security measures into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Advanced Security tools, including Dependabot, CodeQL/code scanning, and secret scanning or comparable platforms.
  • Strong communication abilities to translate complex technical vulnerability details into actionable risk information suitable for engineers, product owners, and leadership.
