Job description
Role Overview
We are searching for a Visual Merchandiser with considerable experience in the beauty retail sector. The ideal candidate will lead and oversee all visual merchandising creative initiatives related to beauty products, ensuring that these align with brand aesthetics and the Shopper Stop design language. The role demands designing inventive displays to improve customer navigation, discovery, and engagement, particularly elevating premium and luxury beauty brand experiences.
Key Duties
- Steer and manage the visual merchandising calendar for beauty products, coordinating with promotions, launches, festivals, and business priorities.
- Oversee the seamless execution of beauty-related campaigns, launches, promotions, and seasonal programs, collaborating closely with the VM operations team.
- Engage with stakeholders in Beauty Business, Marketing, Brand, and Operations divisions to translate business objectives into effective visual merchandising solutions.
- Lead visual merchandising planning and implementation for all SSBeauty stores, including new store openings while ensuring adherence to timelines, brand standards, and visual consistency.
- Maintain uniformity in brand representation and adherence to visual merchandising guidelines across all beauty brands and customer touchpoints.
- Develop and apply planograms and manage physical space allocation for private brands and category displays.
- Liaise with vendors and production teams to manage the creation, fabrication, and timely deployment of visual merchandising assets.
- Conduct training sessions, store audits, and governance reviews to ensure VM standards compliance; identify gaps and initiate corrective measures.
- Collaborate with the business team to ensure VM efforts support product visibility, new launches, category expansion, and sales targets.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Design from recognized institutions such as NIFT, NID, Pearl, or similarly reputed design colleges.
- Strong command of graphic design tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and CorelDraw.
- A creative mindset paired with excellent communication and presentation skills is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in vendor management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Adaptability, financial acumen, teamwork, and efficient planning and organizing skills are highly valued.
Preferred Industry Experience
Prior experience in the beauty and retail sector is advantageous.
