Visual Merchandiser

Overview

The Visual Merchandiser plays a key role in enhancing the guest experience by creating and maintaining attractive visual displays that align with company guidelines and standards. This role involves expertise in elevated merchandising techniques, mannequin styling, fixture blocking, and In Store Marketing elements designed to inspire guests and promote sales.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily and weekly visual merchandising plans in support of sales goals, events, and promotions.
• Conduct regular visual assessments and collaborate with store leadership to improve presentation and guest experience.
• Ensure company visual merchandising strategies and standards, including In-Store Marketing, are executed across store departments.
• Set overhead spotlights to highlight key merchandise and adjust displays to maintain an inspiring environment.
• Train and mentor team members to elevate their visual merchandising skills and knowledge.
• Maintain organization in storage areas and ensure signage and display tools are current and properly utilized.
• Support team onboarding, ongoing learning, and help close skill gaps through hands-on training and coaching.
• Maintain safety and ethical standards, including compliance with all policies and procedures while performing job duties.
• Create a positive store atmosphere by greeting and assisting guests, addressing their needs, and enhancing their shopping experience.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in visual merchandising preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong business acumen including knowledge of profit margins and sales strategies.
• Keen eye for trends and styles aligned with the brand’s image.
• Proven ability to lead and influence team members to uphold visual merchandising processes.
• Capability to utilize communication devices such as handheld scanners and other technology.
• Excellent communication skills with a welcoming, helpful attitude toward guests and coworkers.
• Ability to manage workload independently, prioritize tasks, and perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to access all store areas to resolve issues.
• Operation of Work Assist Vehicle (WAV) and pallet jack.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and handling merchandise weighing up to 44 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds regularly.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Commitment to reliable attendance; hours may vary according to business needs with no guaranteed full 40-hour week.
• Physical ability to remain mobile throughout shifts of varying lengths.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting hourly wage ranges from $21.25 to $23.25, with a full range up to $36.15 per hour, depending on various factors such as experience, education, and labor market conditions.
