Job Summary

Join the passionate team behind award-winning wines in Marlborough wine country as a Vintage Laboratory Technician. Contribute directly to the creation of renowned labels such as Kim Crawford and experience the satisfaction of sampling wine you helped produce. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable winemaking skills and possibly explore a career in the industry.

Work Schedule and Environment

Typical vintage season spans from early March to mid-April, subject to slight adjustments. Expect long shifts of approximately 8 to 12 hours per day, up to 6 days per week, providing excellent earning potential while working as part of a motivated team focused on producing exceptional wine.

Responsibilities and Role Expectations

  • Participate actively in the vintage period operations, supporting the laboratory processes essential to winemaking.
  • Collaborate closely with a diverse team committed to a shared objective of crafting quality wine.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 or more vintage experiences in laboratory roles within a winery environment.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, high motivation, and a proactive "can-do" mindset.
  • Advanced skills in computer use and reporting are required.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards and practices.
  • Willingness and flexibility to undertake shift work during the vintage season.
