About the Role
Join Cloudy Bay to contribute to the creation of exceptional New Zealand wines from renowned vineyard sites. We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and hands-on Vineyard Operators for our Marlborough Vineyards in permanent full-time positions. This role offers comprehensive experience across varied vineyard activities and the chance to develop a lasting career in the wine sector.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate tractors and specialized vineyard machinery
- Conduct spraying, mowing, mulching, canopy trimming, and soil cultivation
- Perform pruning, vine training, and manage canopy growth
- Maintain and monitor irrigation systems
- Support harvest operations by operating machinery and assisting in the vineyard
- Carry out general upkeep and maintenance of vineyard areas
- Document daily operational activities such as spray applications and timesheets
- Assist with data gathering and monitor vineyard pests and diseases
- Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies within the organization
Candidate Requirements
- Hold a valid Class 1 Driver Licence (mandatory)
- Experience in vineyard, agricultural, horticultural, or machinery operation is preferred
- Strong communication abilities and eagerness to learn
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality outcomes
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards health, safety, and wellbeing
