Role Overview

We seek a creative and meticulous Video Editor focused on producing impactful short-form video content. This full-time, on-site position in Thiruvananthapuram involves transforming raw footage into polished, captivating videos tailored for contemporary digital channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for editing, sequencing, adding transitions, syncing audio, color grading, sound design, and graphic incorporation, working alongside content creators, marketers, and designers to convert briefs into visually appealing narratives that meet brand standards and boost engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, engaging short-form videos including Reels, Shorts, TikToks, advertisements, and other digital video elements.
• Execute precise cutting, sequencing, smooth transitions, and audio alignment optimized for short-duration formats.
• Apply professional color grading and enhance audio through leveling, noise reduction, and creative sound design.
• Adapt videos across multiple platforms by formatting, cropping, and exporting in diverse aspect ratios such as 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 according to platform specifications.
• Collaborate closely with content creators, marketers, and graphic designers to translate creative ideas and briefs into final polished videos while incorporating feedback.
• Organize project files, maintain media libraries, and manage digital assets efficiently to support smooth workflow under tight schedules.
• Keep abreast of trending social media content, popular audio elements, visual styles, and the latest post-production innovations to continuously improve video quality.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in video editing and production, supported by a portfolio highlighting end-to-end post-production, with emphasis on short-form digital content.
• Proficient use of industry editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Skilled in color grading and seamless integration of motion graphics and animations within fast-paced editing environments.
• Strong understanding of video technicalities including frame rates, codecs, aspect ratios, bitrates, and exporting according to platform guidelines.
• Effective time management and keen attention to detail, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously under deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a collaborative approach and receptivity to feedback.
• Academic background involving a diploma or degree in Film, Media Studies, Visual Communication, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience demonstrated through portfolio.
