Role Overview
The Video Editor position is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Kolkata Area. The primary responsibilities consist of transforming raw footage into finished video products by sequencing clips, synchronizing audio, and applying transitions and effects aligned with project needs and brand standards. The editor works closely with producers, directors, and designers to interpret briefs, polish narratives, and maintain visual consistency in all outputs. Routine tasks include color grading, integrating basic motion graphics, and preparing final formats suitable for a range of platforms. Additionally, the role involves organizing media assets, managing project files, and injecting creative concepts to elevate content quality and boost audience engagement.
Qualifications
- Expertise in video production and editing covering complete post-production processes.
- Proficient in color grading techniques to assure uniform visual tone and enhanced imagery.
- Ability to design and incorporate motion graphics and other graphic elements that support storytelling and brand identity.
- Experience using professional editing and post-production tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalents.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aspect ratios, codecs, media formats, and delivery protocols pertinent to digital and social media distribution.
- Strong focus on detail, excellent time management abilities, and capacity to juggle various projects with deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal and collaborative skills necessary for working within multidisciplinary creative teams.
- Formal education or training in film, media, design, or related areas is advantageous; candidates must present a portfolio or showreel showcasing their video editing expertise.
