About Base360.ai
Base360.ai is developing an AI-driven operating system tailored for short-term rental companies. Originating from the technology behind The Flex, the platform empowers property managers to launch, operate, and grow their businesses with AI automation.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to creatively transform our products, founder narratives, and brand vision into engaging videos. This role demands turning raw footage, product captures, and inventive concepts into launch films, social media content, and advertisements that captivate audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft product launch and brand films combining storytelling, product showcases, and compelling visuals.
- Develop founder-focused content from interviews, direct talking-head shots, and behind-the-scenes recordings.
- Produce concise video clips tailored for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, emphasizing impactful hooks and deliberate pacing.
- Create diverse paid advertising videos with variations in introductions, messaging, and calls to action.
- Bring the product to life using screen captures, motion graphics, kinetic typography, and clear visual explanations.
- Manage post-production tasks including selecting footage, video editing, color correction, sound design, music integration, captioning, and final exporting.
- Utilize AI creative tools to generate supplementary visuals, voiceovers, and other elements that enhance quality or expedite production.
- Ensure consistency in visual branding across different video formats and distribution channels.
- Analyze content performance metrics such as viewer retention, watch time, and conversion rates to enhance future video edits.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a robust portfolio showcasing narrative skills, editorial proficiency, and refined visual aesthetics.
- Proficient with video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, along with motion design tools such as After Effects or equivalents.
- Ability to capture viewer interest within the first three seconds and maintain engagement throughout the video.
- Skilled in editing lengthy recordings into concise and compelling stories.
- Understanding of how audio elements—music, silence, sound effects—and pacing influence emotional impact.
- Experienced in incorporating AI tools like Runway, Kling, Sora, and ElevenLabs to support the creative process.
- Capable of working autonomously, adhering to deadlines, and responding constructively to feedback.
- Balance speed with meticulous attention to detail to deliver polished final products.
Experience with SaaS product videos, founder-centered storytelling, documentary style, or paid social media advertisements is advantageous.
Why Join Base360.ai?
- Play a pivotal role in defining and evolving the video identity of an emerging company.
- Collaborate closely with the founder on product launches, storytelling, and public engagement initiatives.
- Own creative processes and see your output distributed across various brand and marketing channels.
- Opportunity for growth into creative leadership positions and potential to build and lead a video team.
- Competitive compensation complemented by performance-based bonuses.
- Work remotely as part of a driven, entrepreneurial team.
Company Culture and Expectations
We emphasize ownership, open communication, high standards, and continuous self-improvement. Ideal candidates enjoy initiative-taking, experimentation, and advancing their craft continuously.
Who Should Avoid This Role
- Individuals preferring rigid instructions over creative autonomy.
- Those seeking slow-paced, unchallenging, and static job environments.
- People uncomfortable with direct feedback, revisions, or exploring new creative methods.
- Candidates more focused on aesthetics than storytelling and effectiveness.
- Those resistant to learning new tools or adapting creatively.
- Anyone inclined to bring ego or politics rather than collaboration and accountability.
- Individuals lacking motivation to excel at video editing craft.
