Role Overview

We are looking for a Video Editor to join Riven Edits on a part-time remote basis. The role demands managing raw footage assembly, selecting and trimming clips, organizing assets, and producing finished videos aligned with client goals and brand standards. Responsibilities encompass color correction, audio balancing, adding transitions and effects, and incorporating motion and static graphics. Close coordination with project managers and clients is vital to understand project needs, address feedback effectively, and ensure punctual delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and edit raw video clips into polished final products meeting client specifications.
• Apply color grading to ensure a consistent visual tone and quality throughout projects.
• Balance audio tracks and incorporate sound enhancements as required.
• Integrate motion graphics and static visual elements to enrich video content.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients for briefings, feedback, and approvals.
• Contribute to streamlining editing workflows and upholding quality benchmarks.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in editing tools and techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in video production and editing, including handling timelines and post-production processes.
• Experienced in color grading to enhance mood and maintain visual consistency.
• Skillful in designing and integrating motion graphics and static graphics.
• Familiarity with industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve; basic audio editing knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and capable of managing time efficiently while working independently in a remote setting.
• Effective communication abilities for teamwork and incorporating client feedback constructively.
• Previous experience in video editing or post-production roles; possessing a portfolio or showreel is highly desirable.
• Awareness of social media video trends and digital content formats is advantageous.
