Role Overview
The position is a full-time, on-site Video Editor based in Lucknow. The role entails complete responsibility for editing news and feature video content—from assembling raw footage, choosing significant shots, to shaping coherent visual stories that meet editorial criteria. Daily tasks include performing color correction and grading, integrating motion graphics and basic graphic elements like titles and lower thirds, syncing audio, and delivering final videos optimized for both television and digital outlets. Collaboration with reporters, verification editors, and producers is essential to ensure accuracy, adherence to brand image, and on-time delivery while juggling multiple assignments in a newsroom setting.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in video production and editing, with experience handling various news content and tight timelines.
- Competence in video color grading to maintain a consistent, broadcast-ready appearance.
- Ability to create and incorporate motion graphics and visual elements that support and enhance storytelling.
- Proficiency with standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalents, plus basic audio editing capabilities.
- A strong eye for visual storytelling, meticulous attention to detail, and capacity to work effectively under strict deadlines within a media or newsroom environment.
- Relevant educational background in film, media, journalism, communications, or an equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent collaboration skills and a commitment to maintaining high ethical and editorial standards.
Minimum education
Diploma / ITI / Vocational
