About the Role
Earth Answers is seeking a skilled Video Editing Expert to create polished long-form and short-form educational videos from raw recordings. This role requires a keen eye for pacing, quality, and brand consistency while delivering edits on schedule. Some projects may require working with footage filmed onsite at a farm located in Goa.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit educational videos featuring talking-head content, ensuring they are engaging and professional.
- Add subtitles and captions using CapCut and YouTube’s native captioning tools.
- Maintain a consistent style and pacing to optimize viewer retention across all video content.
- Deliver edited videos within agreed timelines to support regular content posting schedules.
- Occasionally handle workflows involving footage shot directly on a working farm.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated experience editing educational or talking-head videos (beyond short reels or trend clips); portfolio or sample links required.
- Strong proficiency in CapCut or similar editing software and YouTube captioning tools.
- Good understanding of pacing that supports long-form educational content retention.
- Dependable communication skills and consistent delivery timelines.
Preferred but Not Required
- Geographically located near Goa to assist with occasional on-location filming.
- Interest or background in sustainability, agriculture, or educational content themes.
- Experience growing or managing a YouTube channel from an early stage.
Engagement Details
This opportunity begins as a freelance or project-based assignment with trial edits compensated. Successful collaboration may lead to a regular retainer agreement.
Application Process
Interested candidates should submit 2–3 educational or talking-head video edits, provide their typical turnaround time, and state their rates (per video or monthly). Selected candidates will be required to sign a nondisclosure agreement before accessing raw video footage for trial projects.
Compensation
The remuneration for this position ranges from 25,000 to 50,000 INR per month based on project scope and agreement.
