About the Role
Wild Hill Adventure is seeking a creative and dedicated Video Editor & Social Media Handler to join their travel content team located at Azara, Guwahati. This full-time position involves crafting engaging travel videos specifically for social media platforms including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and longer YouTube content. The candidate will be deeply involved in video editing as well as content scheduling and strategy to bolster the brand’s travel presence online.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short video formats such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts along with longer YouTube travel videos.
- Create short clips from extended videos and podcasts for wider social media engagement.
- Perform basic photo editing for thumbnails and add enhancements like captions, music, graphics, and transitions.
- Upload, schedule, and monitor content across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube platforms.
- Write and edit captions and hashtags to optimize content reach and engagement.
- Research and keep up with social media trends and content ideas to maintain relevance.
- Organize and manage video and photo files systematically.
- Collaborate with social media and sales teams to develop travel-related content ideas.
- Maintain a steady and consistent content release schedule.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalents.
- Understanding of social media video platforms including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube channel management.
- Strong sense of video pacing, storytelling, and constructing effective hooks.
- A keen interest in travel and creating engaging content.
- Motivated to learn new editing techniques and experiment with different content styles.
- Ability to work on-site from the Azara office in Guwahati.
- Fresh graduates with a solid portfolio are welcome to apply.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience or knowledge in camera operation and video shooting.
- Basic photography and thumbnail creation skills.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools like Canva or Photoshop.
- Comfortable appearing in video content when required.
- Understanding of social media analytics to track content performance.
- Experience producing travel or lifestyle-related content is advantageous.
Important Notes
A portfolio showcasing previous video editing or social media projects is highly preferred and will be reviewed during the interview process. The employer prioritizes creativity, consistency, and a willingness to learn over formal certifications.
Compensation and Location
The role offers a monthly salary of ₹16,000 along with additional performance incentives. Candidates must be prepared to work full-time from the office at Azara, Guwahati.
