VFX Compositor

About the Role

Pompee VFX Animation Studios is seeking a proficient VFX Compositor to become an integral part of our visual effects team. The selected individual will be tasked with merging various visual assets into polished, lifelike final scenes while upholding high standards of quality and adhering to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Combine live-action footage with computer-generated imagery, 2D graphics, and additional visual components.
• Execute keying, rotoscoping, motion tracking, masking, and image cleanup operations.
• Embed CG elements, matte paintings, visual effects, and backgrounds seamlessly into the footage.
• Ensure color, lighting, image grain, motion blur, and depth cues are aligned to produce authentic composites.
• Collaborate closely with lead and senior compositors, following both creative vision and technical directives.
• Diagnose and address issues in compositing to maintain the integrity and quality of shots.
• Guarantee consistency throughout sequences and deliver completed shots within scheduled deadlines.
• Organize project assets meticulously and adhere to the studio's pipeline protocols and file naming conventions.

Essential Skills

• Advanced proficiency in The Foundry's Nuke compositing software.
• Comprehensive understanding of compositing processes and VFX pipeline methodologies.
• Expertise in techniques such as tracking, keying, rotoscoping, painting, integrating CG elements, and color correction.
• Strong visual acumen regarding detail orientation, composition, and overall image quality.
• Capability to function autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Effective communication abilities coupled with solid time management skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational credentials including a diploma or degree in VFX, Animation, Multimedia, or related disciplines.
• A professional background spanning 2 to 3 years in the VFX compositing field.
• Preferred experience includes working on projects for film, television, advertising, or comparable sectors within visual effects.
