About Pet Wellness Veterinary Clinic

Role Overview

The Veterinarian will be responsible for providing frontline medical treatment to pets, encompassing physical assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and performing both routine and advanced procedures. Key daily duties include administering vaccines, prescribing medications, conducting minor surgeries such as spaying/neutering, analyzing lab data and diagnostic imaging, and maintaining meticulous medical records following clinic protocols. Effective communication with pet owners regarding health issues, treatment strategies, and at-home care is essential. Collaboration with veterinary nurses and support personnel is needed to ensure seamless and effective care delivery. The role also involves participation in preventive health programs, protocol development, case discussions, and continuous education efforts. This position is full-time and requires presence at the clinic in Dubai.

Key Qualifications

  • Possession of a veterinary degree recognized in Dubai (DVM or equivalent) and current eligibility for licensure to practice in the emirate.
  • Proven expertise in small animal clinical medicine, including experience performing routine surgical procedures and offering preventive healthcare.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with capabilities in interpreting laboratory tests and imaging such as X-rays and ultrasounds.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively inform clients about medical diagnoses and therapeutic options and to collaborate within a multidisciplinary veterinary team.
  • A demonstrated commitment to animal welfare and professional ethics, coupled with compassionate patient handling.
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities to juggle multiple patients in a busy clinical setting while ensuring accurate record keeping.
  • Familiarity with veterinary practice management software and digital record maintenance, along with a readiness to adopt new technologies.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development, participate in clinical case reviews, and support quality improvement at the clinic.
  • Experience working in culturally diverse environments or serving multiethnic clienteles is desirable.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of regionally relevant languages such as Arabic is an advantage.
