Vehicle Technician (Vans)

Job Overview

Our client, a leading firm in UK vehicle hire and fleet management, is seeking skilled Vehicle Technicians to enhance their expanding team across various locations. This role concentrates on light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans, aiming to maintain, service, and repair these vehicles to guarantee fleet reliability and safety for a broad customer base.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repair tasks on an array of vans and LCVs.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify faults efficiently.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and conduct general inspections.
• Ensure all repairs adhere strictly to manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
• Complete job documentation, including job cards, service logs, and compliance forms accurately.
• Work effectively to achieve workshop productivity goals.
• Keep the workspace clean, safe, and well-organized at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Preferably hold a Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Demonstrated experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or LCV Technician.
• Strong capability in diagnostic procedures and fault detection.
• Previous experience on vans or commercial vehicles considered highly advantageous.
• Possession of a valid UK driving license.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
